What is Technical Diving?

 Technical diving for most of us means twin tanks and  mixed gases and lots of Decompression...

In reality nothing could be further from the truth!  Technical diving can and maybe expressed as "Diving Beyond the Limits of normal recreational Scuba-Diving".

However if you ask ten (10) experienced divers what is the definition of "Technical or Tech Diving", you may receive up to 10 different answers...

So for arguments sake we will agree that technical diving maybe any diving beyond the scope of normal recreational diving. Therefore deep air diving to 40m+ can be classed as technical diving, also using Air or Nitrox as a Decompression gas to safely complete decompression dive can be considered technical diving...

For the Real hardcore Technical Divers of course there are twin sets, and side mounted ponies, mixed gases, bottom mixes, travel gas, back gas and deco gases.... Etc. etc. (Sounds like another language does it not?)
